2016, it's been real

Christmas is a time to be with your family, eat lots of (unhealthy) food, and think back of everything you have, or haven't done the past year. It might be a cliché, but we feel it's only normal nowadays to share our year online.

What shook us most the past 12 months, and what we realised even more now with our Christmas tree up while we snuggle up by the fire place, is how many people in the world do not get to do that this year. For many reasons that are beyond our imagination, these people are forced to spend it on the streets or alone, not being able to give their loved ones the things they deserve, even though they so desperately want to.

To be able to write this on a laptop, in a warm home, with a hot cup of chocolate milk next to me and everything and everyone I love safe is something that seems to be extremely rare for most of the world. It is therefore that even more so than ever before, we would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas, and even more to those who are not able to spend it happily. Maybe somehow, in some ways, these people will feel a bit more warmth inside of them when they know people are thinking of them in some places in this cruel world.

And to those who do get to spend it with friends, family, and all things nice, we hope you have a wonderful time. The song always says it's the most wonderful time of the year, so let's try to live up to that. Us ourselves are celebrating Christmas as well, and we will be back straight after.
